PeakClan

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts PeakClan Camp

Peakclanners make their home on almost the top of the mountain, in a dip right below the tip. This area was mapped out by Peakstar himself, the leader chosen for his talents in hiding among the rocks. The leader addresses the Clan from a small 10 foot jut right next to the one that runs up to the top of the peak. The leader sleeps in a little crevice amongst the rock of this jut usually referred to as Little Peak.

No New Posts High Peak

The top of the mountain, high above the PeakClan camp. Though it narrows quite a bit at the top and can be quite dangerous if you are clumsy this is a favorite spot of the Clan and is perfect for watching the sun rise and set over the mountains. Young couples of the Clan often make it a point to take their loved one to the top at some point in their relationship.

No New Posts Eagle Cliffs

This obviously is the nesting ground of a large assortment of eagles, though they are spread across the many jutting stones of the mountain, as to not bother one another. Only the most skilled Cliff Jumpers can hunt here without serious injury, though even then it isn't set in stone you'll get out safely. Apprentices are banned from coming here until their mentors see fit that they are ready, usually in the last moon of training.

No New Posts Sharp Stones

Sharp jutting rocks scattered across a field, often birds can be found nesting here and is a wonderful place to train and hunt. Though this place has an even more vital purpose, the Journey of the Soul is held here. Started after Peakstar realized thgat they need something more to make them unique from the other Clans and make his apprentices stronger. So he created this task and set it up in his favorite hunting grounds, this apprentice trial is still in place today.

No New Posts Stone Ravine

A wide crack cutting deep in the stone of the mountain and one of the most important territories in PeakClan's possesion. A small seasoned path takes you down to its bottom, it always seems like dusk at the bottom but the sight is magnificent. Bright green grass sprouts from little cracks wearing away at the rock, often housing small animals and while it rains the edges hold little nesting birds. From a waterfall that found its path through the Stone Ravine a small stream was created and one of PeakClan's only water sources.

TimberClan

No New Posts TimberClan Camp

Deep within a dark forest, rich with prey and lacking in darkness, there is a large clearing where the light leaks through the treetops. This small haven is called The Rocky Clearing by most of the cats in this clan. Among soft patches of grass there is always some type of rock in the way, making it hard to lay down without having to get up and pick out the pesky pebbles. Though most wouldn't want to rest their head on the lumpy stone patches of this clearing, Timberclanners don't seem to mind it. Dens are packed with a combination of moss, leaves, and sometimes even some tall grass, all depending on the season, and how many apprentices are available for chores. The entrance consists of two large boulders, so close together you would think that not even a squirrel could fit. To make things even safer, Timberclanners took brambles from outside camp and shoved them in between the rocks, making it only possible for these clan cats to get through, being used to dense foliage.

No New Posts Deep Forest

As soon as you leave the gloriously lit clearing that makes TimberClan camp you'll find yourself in the main part of the territory. The Deep Forest is loaded with prey and seeing as TimberClan's territory is the lowest to the base of the mountain they always seem to have an abundance of prey. One of the reasons why even since the beginning of the Clans Timberstar and his Clan were viewed as the weakest, never having to truly fight for survival. The other Clans though never had to worry about the fox attack many, many seasons ago though. In fact none of the Clans would probably ever know one of the greatest stories in all of TimberClan's history. Why do you think Foxstrike whom later became Foxstar was so popular? Well the other Clans just though it was for his part PeakClan blood, it made him strong and worthy of leadership. Not strong enough however to be worthy of 'true' leadership of a 'real' Clan though.

No New Posts Great Falls

Tucked away in the lush forest growth of TimberClan territory lies a great treasure of the Clan. No other Clan would ever lay eyes on this mysterious waterfall, it was a tradition though for TimberClan that only a 'true' warrior of TimberClan could go out with their old mentor to see it. The Falls roll down a mountain cliff covered by green moss, a beautiful sight to behold. It was once said that Foxstar had first been found as a kit gazing up at it before he had been found by a patrol.

No New Posts Sparkling River

Ahh, the majestic water source of TimberClan, it should be no surprise that this area is also a great hunting spot. As all the Clans just love to say all of TimberClan's good hunting land makes them soft. It's no wonder every single Clan has attempted an invasion at least once, but never have they succeeded. TimberClan may be the best fed Clan, but they aren't a Clan of pushovers. Of all their land the Sparkling River is the most sought after land, since the beginning of time though only TimberClan has held it. The Sparkling River runs a short distance away from the camp, but it winds its way through most of the territory. It obviously gets its name from the wonderful sparkle it gives off in the sunlight. Some Timberclan cats have been known to fish, Foxstar being the most famous one. It is a skill that only a few apprentices are allowed to learn and it is often taught to the most worthy by the Clan leader. Warriors are expected to learn to fish if they ever want to be leaders, more of a tradition than anything.

No New Posts Winding Forest

When the trees begin to narrow and their trunks also begin to shrink, you know that the Deep Forest has reached its turning into the Winding Forest. The sight of where TimberClan sets up their own apprentice trial. Every warrior in TimberClan has met the needed requirements to become a warrior in these woods. Quite a few interesting events that are now some of the most popular stories with the kits and apprentices that come to listen to their elders. This area is also quite good for finding mice and at times birds, squirrels rarely roam around in these trees though.

JaggedClan

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts JaggedClan Camp

Nestled comfortably in the middle of their very rocky territory, the JaggedClan camp reflects how tough these clan members can be. Tall, sharp boulders surround a stone clearing, with only a few small spaces that were covered up with brambles and thorns for protection. Things can get quite windy from being up so high, so the boulders prove great blocks from the cold, unmerciful currents that could cause greencough before you can say 'mouse'. Just outside the camp entrance there is a swift flowing stream, the water crystal clear, and that has a million and one uses.

No New Posts Glazed River

Every cat in JaggedClan- from the smallest kit to the oldest elder- knows the story of the furious Glazed River. From the moment you are born you are taught to respect and fear this water source. It winds like a giant snake, waiting to swallow its helpless prey; taunting it with plentiful fish and a slow current near the shore. In the summer, it is safer to approach it and try to fish, but during the winter ice covers the surface thinly, and no cat trusts it enough to walk upon. A foolish cat from another clan could easily fall into its trap, only to be dragged under and drowned beneath its unforgiving surface. Long ago, a strong and healthy kit wandered from camp, as any rebellious kit would do at that age. Her name; Icekit. Barely minutes into her adventure, she found herself struggling to save herself in the current of the Glazed River. They found her body on the shore the next day. Ever since then, the river has been used as a memorial, and the story a lesson.

No New Posts The Split Rock

In the middle of JaggedClan territory, where the sun shines the brightest, is a tall boulder. It is almost seven foxlengths high; a small mountain it seems. Its just a regular rock, with the faded gray color and hard surface. The only thing that makes it look odd is the jagged line down the middle. The rock is literally split in half. No cat knows how it happened, or when it happened. It just did. One other odd thing about this is the abundant amount of birds that tend to fly near this rock, and dozens of mice that hide in its shadow and the shadow's of the rocks around it. Beware, though of the dangers that lurk in between the many stones, for snakes like to snap at cats that aren't paying attention.

No New Posts Pointed Stones

A place of great mystery to all the Clans. A ring of pointed stones, some tipped to the side or leaning against one another. The myth about the Pointed Stones is that they are the reason why the Clans are free of twoleg inhabitants, a warning to all that they are there. Or it was the sight of rituals of the ancient clans, perhaps where JaggedClan's ancestors named their apprentices. Some prey scurry around the rocks, burrowing under the stones.

No New Posts Jagged Hill

This rock covered 'hill' is more of a mountain than anything. It leads up to a peak that can be seen from PeakClan's own. This one though is much more treacherous, large juts sometimes make it impossible to keep moving without jumping from one to another. You have to have really tough pads to get to the top, one of the traits looked for in a proper JaggedClan warrior. This is the sight of JaggedClan's own apprentice trial, the Path of the Warrior.

ScarClan

No New Posts ScarClan Camp

As the ground begins to slope farther and farther, and the trees begin to thin you will find yourself in the territory of ScarClan. Their camp is rather open, nothing more than a dip in the stone with boulders all around, perfect vantage points to see all that is heading towards the camp. Of all the camps ScarClan's is the most purposely open, to show that they are not afraid of any Clan. It also allows them to get closer to StarClan, as the night sky is always abocve them. If anything the boulders just keep out the wind so the leaves, moss, and feathers that make up the nests don't fly off. A few stacks of boulders along the edge are the dens that are used in the very few times it rains. A boulder in the middle of the camp is where the leader speaks to the Clan, and in a hollowed out hole below it is where the leader sleeps.

No New Posts Charred Forest

A blackened wood, filled with tough prey, just like the Clan that hunts it. Destroyed by a fire in the time of the great Scarstar, she replied to her Clan witha sharp hiss and her coined prase. "You can only be as tough as the land that you live on, so this will only make us stronger." Constantly beaten down upon by heat in the summer and fierce snows in the winter it is virtually impossible for any of the growth to really heal. It still gives a fair amount of prey to the Clan though.

No New Posts Elemental Plateau

After a long hike up the side of a well worn path you will reach the training location of ScarClan. The flat ground goes on for quite a while, giving it the ability to have quite a few different types of land. You first step into the classic sandy clearing, but around it are areas covered in thick undergrowth, water, and a rocky area. This allows for ScarClan's apprentices to learn about surviving (which includes hunting and fighting) on any land. One of the things that strengthens ScarClan. Quite a few of the most well known warriors and leaders of ScarClan have been known to throw their apprentices off the watery section into the pool below. Scarstar herself starting the practice. It's character building to them and it isn't unheard of for an apprentice to come back after a hard day of training with a sprained foot. that though would be going easy on them.

No New Posts Crooked Creek

A jagged creek that runs like a lightning bolt through ScarClan's territory. A good place to find water voles and mice, as it is probably the most lush area of scarClan's land. Not the most interesting place in ScarClan, but the story of Eaglestrike's scar was born here. While on his first assignment as an Overseer, Eaglestrike had been at a lose for what his scar should be. Finally while walking along the bank of the Crooked Creek, it hit him. Well more like it almost hit him, a lightning bolt struck down before him. From that Eaglestrike knew, he was meant to be the lightning giver.

No New Posts Scar Ravine

From a distance this ravine looks like nothing, all that surrounds it is flat rocky ground. Only once you've reached the entrance of the hole will you notice that it is something more than just ground. Like a scar on the pelt of the earth this ravine cuts rather deep. Inside of it there are caves that seem to have odd passageways between them. The rest of the Ravine is covered in thick undergrowth, perfect for the prey it hides. even birds seem fond of the place.

No New Posts Peace Meadow

A flowery field in the middle of the valley that TimberClan resides in. This is where the Clans meet on the full moon for the Gathering, each leader sitting on a smooth rock that rose them slightly above everyone else. To show that they were still equals to their Clan. Many interesting and intense Gatherings have taken place here over the seasons. Hopefully many more will take place in this clearing, none that include violence though.

No New Posts Stone Wall

Off a ways from the Peace Meadow is the place that holds more mystery and intrigue than any other. All it looks like is a flat side of the mountain, but once you get close enough the markings can be seen. Ancients clawmarks are scoured across the wall in an interesting fashion, some in patterns others just out of the blue. The Clans though believe that these markings were made by the cats of Old, those that make up the oldest part of StarClan. This is why the medicine cats gather to sleep here among the marks of their ancestors. The tradition in sleeping here is by simply lightly tracing a marking that peeks your interest and sleep will come.

No New Posts Twoleg Nests

Way down below the Clans home in the mountains, almost invisible except for a few odd spots lay a small Twoleg Town. Here is where kittypets roam the streets, if they are allowed. Most kittypets hear the tales of the large wildcats that scar their own to show how brutish they were. The stories of ScarClan in the nests is very popular with queens to keep their young ones safe from a wandering imagination. To older cats that still haven't lost the desire to go and often stare into the mountains, there are the less told legends of TimberClan. Where more friendly wildcats that are known to take in kittypets out of a stange sense of compassion. Not many do leave the Twoleg Nests though.

No New Posts Abandoned Warehouse

On the far outskirts of the Twoleg nests is a large building. The windows are busted and the scents that waft from it, can not be considered human. Loners, cats that live outside the Clans but don't have owners and usually aren't violent, live here. The hard, stone floor that covers both floors is littered with old newspaper, shreds of old documents, and most make for wonderful nests. Nice, fat mice scurry around the Warehouse and make for wonderful meals. This is a very easy place to live, not by Clan cats though.

No New Posts Black Tunnel

Cut inside the mountain, outside of the Clan's territory is the Black Tunnel. The home of the evil, banished, and just plain unwanted cats. They usually have some issues with the Clans and are known to be violent, if they aren't they tend to be classified as spineless loners by these cats. Darkness reigns in the Tunnel that supposedly goes all the way through the mountain. No one has ever gone the whole way though, that or they have legends about cats trying only to go mad in the darkness. You'd have to be one crazy cat to attempt it in the first place and if you weren't already you would be when you got to the other side.
