Appearance:
Even in Raykit’s tiny size, many can see that he will grow to look much like his father: Quickfire. His handsome pelt gleams like flame in the sunlight, and glows like a sunset when the moon is high in the sky. He does still have kit fur, its white fluffly texture only still lingering on his underbelly. The rest of Raykit’s appearance is the simple orange tabby that he shares with his father. He was named after the rays of the sun. The only time these markings cease are his paws; which are more of a light cream color. Even now, at such a young age the tom knows he will have a lot of trouble hiding in PeakClan’s rocky territory because of his bright ginger pelt. He has no same in it, though, because he has heard stories that he shared a pelt not only with his father, but with the famous Firestar as well.

The next trait Raykit shares with Quickfire would be size. At this age, his father looked just like him; as though he would grow to be one of the biggest warriors in the clan. Everyone expected this, and was very surprised to find out that his growth stopped at mid apprenticeship, making him a borderline small tom. Now, of course, everyone knows that his kin will most likely be the same size. Now Raykit is the largest kit in the nursery, with seemingly broad shoulders and muscular body type. At least for now he can have that advantage. By mid apprenticeship, though, the tom will most likely be close to the smallest one.

Even the less noticeable features of Raykit are shared with Quickfire. A pink nose lies squarely in the middle of an average shaped face, and pink pads harden to protect the paws from the rocky territory that is PeakClan. Dark brown claws unsheathe only when needed. The last and most camouflaged feature of Raykit would be his light amber eyes. They match so well with his pelt that they are barely noticeable. It is to the point where if you asked someone what the color of Raykit’s eyes were, they would have no idea.

Personality:
Right now Raykit has the typical kit desires. He wants to be an apprentice more than anything else in the world, first of all, and second of all, he wants to be the best warrior in the entire clan. This tom’s dreams are filled with bringing home ten pieces of prey, then battling the most terrifying ScarClan warriors (and winning). On top of that, Raykit wants to be leader of PeakClan, a mentor, and a father someday. This kit is slightly ambitious, but far too loyal to even consider hurting anyone from his clan.

Like his father, Raykit is extremely protective of the ones he loves. Flowerkit, his sister, is always getting tugged away from groups of tom-kits by her brother. He will not hesitate to unsheathe his claws if her name is mentioned in a negative way, and will get irritable if someone starts commenting on how pretty she is. Raykit simply loves her too much to let her go, and this will most likely carry with him as they grow older. Hopefully it won’t result in any type of conflict…

Past:
Raykit and Flowerkit were born with the parents of Graycloud and Quickfire. Raykit took mostly after his father (obviously), while Flowerkit got more of her mother’s gentle gray look. It seemed that from birth the tom of the litter was overprotective of his sister, and barely left her side. Its not that he thought she wasn’t able to protect herself with claws, but was always worried some tom would come and break her delicate little heart. Now all Flowerkit does is roll her eyes in mock annoyance when her brother says he will always be the only tom in her life.

There are two cats that Raykit looks up to: One, his father, and two, his grandfather: Suntalon. They are both noble PeakClanners, and have taught this tom everything he knows about StarClan and every other clan in the forest. The information about dangerous rouges and friendly loners came from them. Raykit also heard many stories about how the clans came about. The cat he wishes to be most like would be Quickfire. His love and admiration of the warrior has kept growing and growing over the past few moons, especially after hearing of his apprentice trial. Now Raykit’s goal is to mark all five stones in his own trial, and be given the respect of a senior warrior.
