ScarClan

Medicine Cat
Appearance[/u]
Oddly enough, Snoweye's pelt does not match his name. You would imagine a white cat, right? Wrong! Snoweye is a pure black tom cat with brown on his ears and tail, and has a white dot above his left eye, and his fur is naturally "ruffled," but well kept and silky. So why is his name Snoweye? Well, I'll get to that later, but it might be useful to know that his name was Eaglepaw, but his mentor changed it when he was given his full medicine cat name.
Now, the unusual part of his appearance that causes his name Snoweye is, you might have guessed it, his eyes. They are pale, blue-gray in color, which reminded Morningrose of snow and ice. Snoweye has a strange type of blindness that resembles the blindness you get from looking at the sun too long or forgetting to wear sunglasses on a sunny, snowy day. Sometimes he can see perfectly well and narmal, other times his vision is changed, some cats say, by StarClan, for various reasons, such as looking into the future for new kits of the Clan. For you see, when his vision is changed he can see the "true spirit" of anything; their personalities if they're cats, their edibleness or healing powers if they're prey or herbs.
For his build, Snoweye has the typical body of a ScarClanner; big shoulders and strong haunches, wide paws, and hard muscles. He's not as big as Crimsonfang or Tigerfrost, but not as delicate looking as Lillymask. He was built like a warrior, but his guts and his heart told him that he would be a better medicine cat.
Personality[/u]
Snoweye is quite unusual for a ScarClanner. He doesn't really show emotion, but he does show sympathy and many other feelings that make a medicine cat someone that is respected and liked by the whole Clan. He is kind and gentle, and tries to treat all cats equally. Being a medicine cat means that he doesn't feel the same prejudice towards cats who have the misfortune to be born white or ginger. He believes that every cat should be given an equal chance at life to prove themselves to their Clan and their Clanmates.
Snoweye has proven himself to be an excellent medicine cat ever since he and his siblings were kits. He has always shown compassion and understanding for others that his brother and sister never did. Most cats soften up around him since they have all experienced his kindness and great skill; they respect him a lot. He has proven himself over and over again to be an excellent medicine cat for ScarClan.
As for hobbies, Snoweye doesn't really have any. If he did have one, it would be walking through the forest and gathering herbs on a warm leaf-fall afternoon. His favorite prey is mouse, though he'll eat starling or rabbit in the absence of mouse. He thinks that frog and fish are two of the worst-tasting animals in the world, and refuses to eat anything with scales. Snoweye's favorite medicine cat activity is looking for signs of the future of newborns. His least favorite chore would be sorting out mousebile.
Past[/u]
On the shortest day of the year, a beautiful and talented litter was born to ScarClan. Their father was a dark warrior with eyes that glowed at night, and was therefore called Glowingeye. Their mother was the beautiful and loyal Moonwhisper. The litter was made up of three kits; the first was a black tom with brown ears and tail, second was a beautiful dark silver tabby she-cat, and last was a big tom with a pelt that, in the sun, looked like brown-red dried blood. They were given the names Eaglekit, Lillykit, and Crimsonkit.
It was clear from the start who would be the leader of the Nursery. Crimsonkit was strong and dangerous. His eyes were so quick and thorough that it seemed like he could see everywhere and once. Lillykit always looked to delicate to make a good deputy for Crimsonkit, but she soon proved her strength and cleverness. She has never been afraid to lash out at the slightest remark about her size or delicate-looking limbs. Crimsonkit has always been a little protective of her, though Eaglekit knew that she would be very, very cross with him if he tried to help her. Eaglekit back up his siblings in everything, but he was less quick to discriminate cats for their pelt-color, o rhave any prejudice for that matter.
By the time they were made apprentices, it was clear who their mentors ought to be. Crimsonpaw was given to the stern and proud Blackthorn, who was deputy at the time, while Lillypaw was to be mentored by tough and strong Owlstrike, and Eaglepaw by the soft and caring Morningrose, the current medicine cat. And it sure does look like some of her kindness rubbed off on her apprentice, making him the littlest bit kinder.
Crimsonpaw was a tough apprentice, excelling at battle training. But he always got into trouble for arguing or refusing to help with the normal apprentice chores; cleaning the elders den, caring for the queens and elders, ect. He though these tasks should be left to the other, less promising cats. Blackthorn was often frustrated by his attitude. Lillypaw was obediant and a fast learner, but Owlstrike found it hard to keep her from attacking any cat who said anything about her, even if she just took it the wrong way and they really meant it as a compliment. She hated it when her admirers thought they needed to protect her or fight her battles for her. Eaglepaw was the best, most obediant apprentice. Every cat wanted him for themselves, just because he almost never got into trouble and never back-talked. He found that nearly every medicine cat chore was fun, and was almost never bored. Morningrose was very complimentary for his gift of seeing signs about newborns' futures.
When they finally became warriors, Crimsonpaw and Lillypaw passed their trial with flying colors. Crimsonpaw didn't even blink, and Lillypaw looked ahead with her jaws set in a slight look of determination which she hid from everyone successfully, except her brothers, who always saw beyond her mask. Eaglepaw celebrated with them once it was over and they were given their names, Crimsonfang and Lillymask, but he still couldn't wait for his own name. Around this time, their father was killed and their mother retired. Eaglepaw was hurt, and he was sure that Crimsonfang and Lillymask were as well, but they never showed it.
Soon, Eaglepaw was honored with his name. Morningrose took him to the Stone Wall and performed the special ceremony, changine his name from Eaglepaw to Snoweye. He proudly pointed out to his Clanmates the next day about the change, but they simply nodded and continued talking like it was no big deal.
Their mother died shortly after Crimsonfang and Lillymask received their first apprentices. Lillymask's apprentice died shortly before his Trial, but Crimsonfang's was very successful. Crimsonfang was then made Overseer for a short period, and they both received second apprentices before long. Lillymask still has manny admirers, but none have won her heart yet. Crimsonfang also has a few admirers, and right now he's padding after a pretty, tabby she-cat by the name of Raintail. StarClan alone knows whether this is the match he's been waiting for, and his affections may change soon (line up, ladies!).
About 10 moons ago, Morningrose died, and Snoweye became the official medicine cat of ScarClan. He is hoping to serve his Clan for many seasons yet, and will train and apprentice when there is a cat whom will make a good medicine cat, and when the time is right.
